Nathan brings over 50 years of professional experience in both law and business. Nathan assists the firm in its Intellectual Property Practice, including Patents and Trademarks, as well as helping research complex issues presented by our clients' unique problems.
Nathan grew up in Newark, NJ, the son of a wholesale egg distributor.
After helping in the small family business, Nathan studied at Rutgers University, and then received an M.B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh. Nathan was hired out of business school by IBM. While working, Nathan completed a Mater’s in Industrial Engineering at North Carolina State. Subsequently matriculating in evening programs, Nathan earned a J.D. degree from New York Law School and an L.L.M. in Taxation from NYU Law School. Attending a 13 month full time program sponsored by IBM, Nathan earned an associate degree in Computer Sciences from NC Central University.
After successful careers in Finance, Litigation Support and Computer Science. Nathan became a registered (#39075) member of the US Patent Bar. Upon retirement from IBM, Nathan moved to Maryland as an associate with a boutique IP law firm. Nathan left private practice and started his third career with the Federal Government as a contract specialist.
Upon retiring from the Federal Government, Nathan sat for the Maryland Bar and passed the Bar exam at age 75. (Nathan was previously a member of the Bar in New York, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia.) He says working and practicing law keeps him young! Nathan enjoys playing bridge, traveling, and spending time with his six grandchildren.
